Polyamide 6 (PA6), also known as Nylon 6, is a synthetic polymer from the nylon family. Unlike Polyamide 66 (PA66), which is made from two monomers, PA6 is synthesized from a single monomer, caprolactam, through ring-opening polymerization.
PA6 is chosen when good toughness, flexibility, and processability are required. However, it has lower thermal stability compared to PA66 and absorbs more moisture, which affects dimensional stability
Jeda Polymers produces many standard formulations of Nylon 6 as well as many formulations tailored for specific industries and applications. Whether your product requires toughness, UV protection, wear resistance, improved heat resistance, glass or carbon fillers, anti-stat, or conductivity, JEDA is your source for Nylon 6 resins.
