Polyamide 66 (PA66), also known as Nylon 66, is a type of synthetic polymer belonging to the nylon family. It is made from hexamethylene diamine and adipic acid through a condensation polymerization process. PA66 is widely used in engineering applications due to its excellent mechanical properties, chemical resistance, and thermal stability.

Polyamide 66 is chosen over other nylons (like PA6) when higher strength, heat resistance, and dimensional stability are required.
